Why doesn’t my gulf link online banking password work?
Q

Why doesn’t my gulf link online banking password work?

A

Perhaps it is being entered incorrectly. Having the ‘caps lock’ key on is a common cause. Passwords are case sensitive and must be entered the same exact way each time. As a safety feature, after three unsuccessful attempts the system locks you out. This prevents someone from accessing your information by trying to guess your password through multiple, random chances. Also, if you have not logged on within the past 90 days you will be locked out too. Please contact us. A quick phone call gets you back online again.

Why does my debit card transaction post twice?
Q

Why does my debit card transaction post twice?

A

When a merchant processes your card transaction they receive both a temporary and a permanent authorization. Both of these appear on your account, however; you will also have an offsetting credit in the same amount. The amount actually charged to your card will always be equal to the amount of your purchase. An example of this is when a pre-authorization is needed. For instance, when you book a hotel and they hold your card prior to arrival, or when purchasing items online. Normally you aren’t charged until they are shipped but the merchant takes your card info first to confirm that your card is valid.

    FAQs About a Browser

    Q. What does it mean to be a supported browser?

    A. Browsers that are supported are expected to work in any Online Banking/eBanking page and function. If any critical function is found not to work on a supported browser, it will be addressed and corrected.

    Q. What does it mean to be an unsupported browser?

    A. Unsupported browsers are not tested. If problems are reported, code changes will not be made to accommodate browser differences. The recommendation will be to use a supported browser.

    Q. What happens if an issue is reported that is the result of an unsupported browser?

    A. If problems are reported, the recommendation will be to switch to a supported browser.

    Q. How do you determine when a browser will be identified for certification and ultimately be supported?

A.Metrics available on browser usage define the most commonly utilized browsers which is one factor in determining the list of browsers to support. Another factor is the lack of viable alternatives on a particular platform, Apple Safari is one example. As new browsers climb in usage, they may be added to the supported browser list, once a threshold of adoption and usage is reached, or if no other browser is available for that platform. e supported?

    Q. How long does the certification process usually take?

    A. When a new browser is released and it is a candidate for becoming a supported or recommended browser, an initial regression test of the application is done utilizing that browser. The process will be complete when all critical issues identified in the testing process for that particular browser have been resolved. The time for that process varies from browser to browser but would typically be less than 3 months. Other factors that apply are problems/bugs that are in the browser software itself. Some issues cannot be solved by modifying application code, but have to be addressed by the browser vendor directly.
