Established by John H. Cook almost 100 years ago in 1913, Cook Insurance Agency, one of the nation’s oldest continuously operating insurance agencies, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Gulf State Community Bank. Currently Cook Insurance Agency has offices in the Gulf State Community Bank locations of Apalachicola and Carrabelle. An office in the Crawfordville branch will open early in 2007 followed by an additional location in Eastpoint at a later date.
