As a community bank we are proud to have employees that are also committed to involving themselves in the activities of our area that give back to the communities we live and work in. We have members of our bank that support the local humane society, Habitat for Humanity, the arts, the county food pantry, American Cancer Society in their Relay for Life fund raising efforts, children's fishing tournaments, volunteer first responders, numerous local seafood and craft festivals and local schools, to name a few. We as a bank encourage volunteerism and match our employee's personal contributions to the non-profit organizations they choose to support.
We are very proud to offer all our customers and employees the opportunity to donate $2.00 per month out of their checking accounts to the non-profit (501c3) organization of their choice. This sounds like a small amount but it grows quickly as employees and customers alike are involved. Gulf State Community Bank writes a check quarterly to each of the groups that our customers and employees have indicated.
